Cryo-cell cord blood banking & Hope for Haiti

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

As everyone knows, Haiti has suffered a terrible tragedy.Companies, celebrities & moms like you, and I are all doing what we can to help. Cyro-cell International, which I guarentee every mother knows about ( and likely, looked into during pregnancy at one point, or another!) is doing what they can do, to help give Hope to Haiti, also.

Throughout February, Cryo-Cell will donate $25 from each enrollment to the “Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund”. As people safeguard the future for their newborns and families, they can also lend their hand to help rebuild the future for the children of Haiti. Cryo-Cell is the only cord blood bank contributing a portion of each sale to Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.

I remember researching cord blood & banking while I was pregnant with Andy.
At the time of my pregnancy, Mikes step father, was currently dying of Lou Gerigs disease. He passed away the end of Febuary 2006, Andy was born late July 2006.
Stem cell research was very much a topic of discussion at that time, and I did alot of reading & information gathering, from Cryo-cell International, actually.
It's the extraction, of blood, from the umbilical cord, after delivery. It's painless to both parties of the pregnancy ,simple, and just thrown away if not extracted.
With the rise in talk of stem cell research, to store these painlessly available stem cells, for about $3 a week, it could potentially be an incredible resource, to have available with your childs genetics, as research for disease continues.
No one wants to think about it, but people do get sick, and cures, and treatments are always progressing.
Saving these cells could potentially, be used to help cure an illness, of a sibling, or the child themselves, perhaps. Who KNOWS what stem cells could cure, or who.
Thats something that only time & lots of research will tell, but stem cells arent exactly "laying around" or painless to retrieve.

By banking your cord blood, they ARE "laying around:" for a potential helper, down the road, of which the possibilities arent even explored yet. So why WOULD'NT you bank cord blood??

Thats what I'm wondering.. geeze, I'm even kicking myself for not going through with it, now!!!

If your currently pregnant, I urge you to look more into cord blood banking, and enroll now with Cyro- Cell, because when you do you can help provide Hope for Haiti. Cryo -cell will donate $25 for ever enrollment, to the Save the Children: Hope for Haiti fund.
Not only will you help Cryo-cell provide hope for Haiti but you can also, provide hope for yourself, your family & the possibilities that stem cell research have in the future.
