Remembering Noah

I wanted to take a minute today to share Noah's Story, for those of you who don't know it..

I really want to pass on Rachel's wish.. and ask that ALL of my readers help us give this family our help..

Here is what Rachel is asking..

"Here is what I need, I won't tell you why I need it but just know it's a little project of mine. Remembering Noah. I've talked about this with a few people, very few because I am trying to keep this hush, hush for now. J doesn't even know anything about this. Since Noah passed away, we've sent him balloons on just about every occasion. I've always attached our address and you wouldn't believe how many have been sent back to us with nice little notes attached telling us of how they found the balloons and how our thoughts about Noah (which were attached as well) brought them so much joy, sadness and happiness to be apart of it all. So, my bloggy friends I am asking you to join me in this. His third birthday is fastly approaching and I want to do something for him. It's not going to be grand, it's not going to be seen around the world, maybe in some parts of the world but I am not expecting greatness here. It's just something small that helps us all heal and something that will keep my mind off the heartache that comes with celebrating a day that I should have with him. It also keeps his memory alive which is what I want more than anything in this world. So, here is where you come in. I need a picture. A simple picture of you, your children or anything including Noah's name or of your children releasing balloons for him. I am thinking balloons because that is something special we have done since day one. Write his name on a balloon, color it, paste it. It doesn't matter. Or you can do something else, anything you can think of. If you could add where you are from some where on it, I would love that but you don't have to. E-mail it to me at and be a part of celebrating a little boy who is gone from this world way too soon."

That's simple enough, take a picture, make a sign, write Noah's name in the sand & send it to Rachel. It will take ONE minute out of your day,but these pictures will remind everyone of Noah for all of eternity.
Noah's memory deserves much more than that of course, but if everyone can contribute ONE picture from all over the world, just think of what an impact that will make for Noah's memory AND his family.

For everyone who participates in this, you will get FIVE extra entries into ALL of my giveaways the entire month of May. Just CC me in your email to Rachel with your contribution to her project & you can enter 5 extra entries into every contest, just claim them Noah 1,2,3,4,5.

If you Twitter about Remembering Noah you can have 2 extra entries into each giveaway for the month of May as well. Enter them in comments as Twitter 1,2.

Rachel is a friend of a friend of mine, so I know not only does she have to be an amazing person, but that Noah was, IS too. Lets celebrate Noah and his memory & help Rachel do something AMAZING in honor of sweet Noah.

I'll be going around town this next month, in my yard, etc and making Noah signs & pictures for Rachel.. I hope you will be to!!!!!!!!!!

For my dear beloved...

A cheat sheet into the world of blog giveaways.

See that little list at the bottom of each giveaway??

-Follow Me-
-Follow me on Twitter

and so on & so on??

When you become a follower to my blog, you leave me a comment (in the contest which you wish to enter) saying "Hey.. bitch. I'm following you!'

When you follow me on Twitter, or you visit the site I ask you to visit, you leave a comment telling me which requirement you fulfilled..

Each comment is like a ticket. A ticket to the raffle. For each task you compete ( 1-follow in Twitter 2-follow on GFC) you enter a separate comment.

I take the number of comments and enter it into It gives me a random number.

Say you were comment number 5,10 & 15 our of 15 comments.. That means you have 3 chances in 15 of being my random integer.

Basically, the more comments ( fulfillment of requirements for entries!) you get, the better your chance of being my winner!

Hotel for Dogs

I recently got the chance to review Hotel For Dogs. I had seen previews, but of course, I don't get to go to the movies much!

It came personalized for us, with Echo right on the front cover! Too cute..

I popped it in when Andy asked for the "Doggy Movie" and wrapped up my dishes while listening to it in the other room..

I came in about 10 minutes into it to watch & plopped down on the couch.

As an avid dog lover, I could have just watched all the cute pooches!! I have to say, by the end of the movie, the kids we're running a'muck & I was glued to the couch watching this adorable movie!

Check out the press release for Hotel for Dogs...

"The hilarious family comedy HOTEL FOR DOGS finds a new home on April 28, 2009 when it arrives on DVD and Blu-ray from Paramount Home Entertainment. Starring Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew), Jake T. Austin (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), Don Cheadle (Ocean’s 11), Lisa Kudrow (“Friends”) and Kevin Dillon (“Entourage”), the exciting and inspiring animal adventure shows just how far friendship and imagination can take you. When two orphans find themselves in a foster home with a strict “no pets” policy, they set out to find a home for their canine companion and end up creating a haven for all the strays in the city. Filled with loveable dogs and ingenious kids, HOTEL FOR DOGS has the kind of pedigree that the whole family can enjoy."

And its all so true! I absolutely loved this movie!!! The dogs, the ideas, the inventions, the perfect ending.. It was a perfect family movie. Andy liked it because of the dogs, of course but I think as the boys get older, this will be a family favorite because you laugh, you worry & you might POSSIBLY even tear up a tiiinnyy bit. I cant be sure as sometimes my eyes just water.

Hotel for Dogs will be released on DVD & Blu Ray April 28th but one of you can win a copy of your own!!

EAD Designs

A year or so ago I found out about vinyl designs for walls. I loved the concept, they're removable, they aren't doing to damage the walls, they're all around great.. but.. they aren't too affordable & what if they don't have what your looking for??

Now they do. E.A.D Designs has affordable designs, phrases, logos & you can even get a customized personal package made just to your wants! How amazing is that?? ?
You know that one spot in your house, the one you want to add something to, but just haven't found the right item yet? Look no further.. EAD Designs has whatever you need to fill that void on your wall..

Look what they did for me!

..Wow.. my mirror is REALLY dirty huh?? Yikes!!! Mike put the design up for me & it didn't take but a few minutes, easy as pie he said, and it looks gorgeous!!! We've already had compliments on it from, well, the only 2 people who have visited since its been up. I love just looking at it, it sparks Mike to sing the country song "All because 2 people fell in love..." randomly through out the day while puts a smile on every ones face no matter the mood.

One reader will win a $25 gift certificate for EAD Designs!!! Here is how to enter-

1-Visit EAD. Tell me what you would spend your $25 on!

I may Love Muffin Tops..

..But only when they're fresh from the oven!! NOT on my hips!!

I was younger, of course everyone bent over & hello ..there was their thong!! (Thus the Thong Song, anyone??) Really, at 18 or 19 it was probably "okay" in our heads but looking back as an adult.. It's just NEVER okay.

Now as an adult who just keeps having kids, bending over presents a new problem, t-shirts ride up, & while I dont want to rear to show, I certianly dont need a mummy tummy peeking out either!

Welcome My Hip-T

I think I can sum this AMAZING product up best with one of my favorite things.. A little montage!!!

Is it just me, or does this awesome product not even NEED further explanation??? Yeah Yeah, I'm no super model anymore.. shut it.. but my Hip T actually made me feel damn hot!!!

I can bend & twist & jump & sit as I please & no crack, no muffin, no NOTHIN is going to pop out the top of my jeans. I LOVE it.

This is a MUST have for ANY mother. Sure, I've seen similar bands for pregnancy, nursing, but those are boring.. look at the ADORABLE prints My Hip T has!!

It's even loved by celebrities!! I personally, would buy anything that Lance Bass endorses, loves him!!!

Right now, they are offering free shipping & select Hip T's are 20% OFF!!!

As if that isnt a good enough deal, ONE reader will get any Hip- T of her choice!!!

I'd just like to say...

When they say disposable diapers can hold however many times their own weight in liquid..

They arent kidding.

Just ask my washing machine.. and all the childrens clothes..

And poor Ryan who wont have a dry blankie to go to bed with tonight...

Or ask my husband, who WISHES I was JUST crabby right now..

So I ask you this diaper companies.. How the hell is it that your diapers can hold my whole damn washing machine top.. yet the time I'm caught out on a nature hike with no where to pee & baby diapers in my backpack you over flow on me?? Huh??

Assholes. I'll stick with cloth.

Birthday BOY!

Here is a little video of Ryans birthday celebrations, lucky boy has another one May 2nd too!!!

Eco Kid

Prior to having kids, I would go as far as to say I just flat out didnt know anything. I thought the leading brand of baby shampoo was the best there was, because obviously, it was all I saw in magazines, commercials, etc.

As we all know, with age comes wisdom & knowledge, and some pretty scary releases about certian big companies baby products as well!

I've switched myself & my kids over to organic, earth ( and body!) friendly products that I feel safe about using on them. However, sometimes they can be hard to find, outrageously expensive, or they just sort of dont work.

Not anymore, eco.kid is an organic line of kids Bath & Beauty products.
I found their ideas behind eco. kid AWESOME, here is what they have to say..

Q-eco.kid... why is eco.kid called eco.kid?

A-"We made some nice, pure hair products. We call them eco.kid, because that’s what they are—ecologically responsible, kid friendly products (no artificial fragrances, colourings or preservatives, no harsh surfactants).
eco.kid... formulated for kids"
Did you know???

"A child’s skin and scalp produces almost six times less oil on a daily basis than an adult’s and can be sensitive to synthetic perfumes, colours, preservatives, heavy film-forming conditioners and aggressive surfactants. eco.kid is an organic, healthier, biologically friendlier and more effective product range formulated exclusively for the hair, scalp and skin of children aged 3 to 12 years old and so is able to help prevent common problems faced by this age group. eco.kid... prevention is better than cure.™"
Tell us more about eco.kid & why its so great!
"eco.kid is Australian made and is crafted using Australian Indigenous Flora and certified organic ingredients. The harsh beauty of the Australian climate has evolved our flora into a powerhouse of phyto-resources. eco.kid key flower and plant ingredients include wild harvested Kakadu Plum, the world’s richest natural fruit source of vitamin C and essential oils of Australian Eucalyptus, Australian Nerolina, Australian Lemon-scented Myrtle, Australian Lemon-scented Tea Tree, Australian Aniseed Myrtle, Australian Blue Cypress and Australian Sandalwood—all of which have well known benefits and possess varying anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties."
And of course, the best for last..

"We care about what we put into our products and we care about what our rinse down the drain. eco.kid products use sulphate free, synthetic free, fully sustainable and readily bio-degradable ingredients that can be safely returned to the planet. This one gesture helps to create a sustainable future for our kids.
eco.kid was born from our determined belief that there is a better way to care for our kids’ hygiene and the environment we live in. eco.kid should be used as part of a healthier lifestyle for kids and the planet."
I love it.
First of all, who doesnt want to feel absolutely 500% confident in the products they use on their children? I know I sure do! However, with eco.kid you can feel good about doing your part for our lovely mother Earth as well!!
I am absolutely loving eco.kid's PREVENT daily shampoo for the boys. The scent is citrusy, not over powering & it just FEELS clean in your hands & leaves their hair soft, smooth & feeling healthy.
As Earth Day is coming up, start doing a small part with your kids hair.. Switch over to eco.kid!!! Keep an eye out for it, it'll be headed your way soon!!

Allergies are a long standing issue in my family. Especially for my sister. I have seasonal allergies but now, as a nursing mother, it's tough to find something fast and effective for my relief that wont affect my nursing.

I recently found out about SinuCleanse.

SinuCleanse is a safe, immediately effective NATURAL sinus relief that helps naturally relieve allergy symptoms, sinus headaches, congestion, nasal infection, even just the damages of dry air on your nasal cavity!

I have to be honest, I've heard about these Neti Pots for quite some time! I have friends who swear by them & my mom uses one too. However, due to being dunked in the water as a small child I have an extreme fear of things ( like liquids) going up no nose. Luckily ( this is sort of ironic to say luckily..) Ryan got the sniffles so I didnt have to try it out on myself, I got to test it on my own little guinea pig!! ( I'm such a bad mom!)
That tiny tube goes right up in the tip of their nostril & then squirt! A saline solution washes out their nose!! Ryan is just a weirdo & he LOVES it. I mean, giggles & sticks his face forward for more type of love it, while Andy just watched from across the room yelling "Nooo Not my NOSE!!!"

The real question, did it work?

Yep. It sure did!

Ryan stopped sniffling immediately. The true test was that he'd been sleeping poorly, the nasal whistle .. (moms all over nod "ahh yes" here) I cleaned his nose right before bed & I actually dont think he woke once. Which he wakes atleast twice when he is feeling perfect, so that was a REAL miracle!!

I've found the perfect solution for my kids allergies, colds & stuffy noses with SinuCleanse Kids Mist.

As for me.. I'm still a bit scared of the Neti Pot, so check THIS out!

It's the SinuCleanse Squeeze!! All the benefits of a Neti Pot but with no funky tilting for people like me who cant handle the madness. Plus, it has an amazing anti backwash technology, to keep it sterile for you germ a phobes out there.

The SinuCleanse line benefits everything from allergies, to congestion, post nasal drip, dry air, sinus infections, even rhinitis of pregnancy!!
SinuCleanse has something for everyone, you can order from them directly but they are also found in TONS of local stores like CVS & Walgreens!
I can definately say that there will be no more Sudaphed here, no more Claritin, just SinuCleanse, a safe natural way to get rid of my families nasal issues!
One of you can try Kids Mist for yourselves!!

Baby Bistro Brands

Boy, starting solids with a baby is so difficult for a picky mom. You want only the best, your worried about allergies, starting foods to early, not starting them soon enough, what to do first & those are just the things Grandma told you about, forgettabout what the pediatrician, your best friend, mother in law & aunts have to say!

Then of course, the picky baby, that was my Andy, heck its STILL my Andy!!

I worry all the time "Is he getting enough? What will he eat if he wont eat this?? i better get more vitamins since he's not eating anything lately!!!"

The Baby Bistro Brands takes all the hard questions, all the FAQs and all the knowledge that everyone provides & puts it in a perfect little box. Everything from facts about allergenic foods, to food safety, to information on organic eating all the way to menu ideas, recipes, interesting "Did you Know" facts to ideas of ways to have fun, be physical, get exercise & enterain your children. PS- They have desserts too!!!

I got to try out the Toddler Bistro Box, for ages 1-3 and I am in love. I wish I'd found this when Andy was 6 months old because I can with out a doubt say, he would NOT be the picky eater he is, and I would have less stress lines on my face from all the worrying & research I stayed up late doing.

One of my favorite features is the Nutrient Needs.. It lists pounds ( for your child of course) and how many calories, grams of fat, protein, carbs & fiber they should be getting daily.Wow! There is also a simplified shopping guide, so you know exactly what to buy. Goodness,my lists will be alot more organized with these perfect note cards!

The recipes are great, versions of things everyone loves, and things people have never tried but will love. They also feature toddler tendancies & ways to deal with them.( Helloooo sneaky mom!) This is even ideal for vegans!

I love to cook, I almost went to culinary school! I have to say, with the Toddler Bistro Box, and a hungry baby like Ryan, this next year or 2 is going to be SO much fun trying all these amazing recipes out. And who knows..maybe Andy will become a foodie too!!! ;-)
Check out Baby Bistro Brands Baby & Toddler Boxes, I bet you'll love them as much as we do!

2 Reasons I'm an awful Mom

1-There has never been ONE time that Andy has said "I SO crabby" that it doesnt make me LAUGH. Not chuckle under my breath but I flat out crack UP.

2- I totally bought Ryan a vaccum for his birthday. the kid loves them & it says it actually picks things I was hopeful he'd start doing his part around the house!!

Why are YOU a *bad* mama???
PS- like the squirrel, don't pretend you don't!

Andy is going to pee himself...literally.

It's a REALLY good thing the boy is still in diapers, huh??

Mrs. Prindables

What is a first birthday( or ANY birthday) with out a fabulous treat?

Mrs.Prindables graciously sent us one of their best selling, delectable, drool worthy apples.
Check this gorgeous thing out..

I have to say, the first thing I noticed was the absolutely beautiful presentation. It comes in a beautiful deep purple box, with their logo delicately printed on the side & a silky gold ribbon encasing the box.

Had I not known what was inside, I might have not wanted to open it!

This apple is HUGE. I kid you not, Mike & I just stared at it & said "..I wonder where they get these apples??" They are the biggest apple I've ever seen in my life, hands down.

We cracked into it last night for Ryans birthday, unfortunately ( for him) he just got a nibble of the apple, but check Andy out...

WOW. I am a chocoholic & this curbed by sweet tooth with 2 slices. The giant, juicy apple is coated in a perfect caramel, followed by THREE, yes, count them.. THREE types of chocolate. Mike doesnt typically like caramel but he said "I dont know what they use, but thats the best I've had.." And it is, Andy said "mmmmmmm" when I asked him what he thought!

The days of strawberry bouquets & chocolate fountains are over. Mrs Prindables will be our new housewarming gift, our party treat & our anniversary gifts for loved ones. These apples could feed several people, they are perfect for a party or special occasion and to send one as a gift, a recipient would be shocked at the lovely and tasty, item they got. It would be a gift NO one would forget! These apples are made with only the finest in ingrediants, the sugar, the vanilla, its all top of the line & the taste of these guys, shows that! Mrs. Prindables has been making these amazing treats for over 25 years & it shows, they are getting better every year!
Mothers Day is coming up you know.. I can think of a FEW mamas would definately deserve a treat like this.. Check out Mrs Prindables today & let me know what you think..and of course, what you plan to order!! ;-)
