Nick Deysher has created his third music CD for children that combines both melodies that children love, as well as ones that a parent will recognize. Nick incorporates classic sounds from Bob Marley as well as the Beatles in his songs. Nick began singing in his church choir & has gone on to get his B-F-A with a focus on Jazz Composition, followed by a Masters in Media Writing & Music Productions. This guy knows his stuff! He has even produced music for everything from web music, to independent films, to Broadway sound design!
Nick worked at the LEAP school in Lexington MA as a music specialist, and is also a certified kindergarten teacher. He's been working on a music curriculum for grades Pre-K thru 5 and teaches private lessons in piano, voice and guitar! His also has his own blog, which you can check out, called Singing in the Bathtub.
I must say, Nick has a good voice! It's a soothing type of perfect, made just for children's songs, or songs of any age range, really! The melody flows, the tunes are catchy & the songs are great!
The Bear went over the Mountain is my personal mommy favorite. Just as you start to get into the groove, a fabulous new beat comes into the song. I cant even describe it but I'm fairly sure Andy thought I was off my rocker as I danced around his room. However, "If you Build It" as an adult, is CLAIRES personal favorite!!! ;-)
Andy had just waken up when I put the CD on, so he is a bit groggy! I made both boys listen to The Bear Went Over the Mountain about 6 times because I liked it that much! By the time I let it go to the next song.. well.. you'll see Andys face, He likes it as much as I do!!!
Here is Andy checking the cool CD case out as I danced around his room-
Clickety Clack ( The Train Song) is currently the new theme song to my day, I can't get the tune out of my head & have been humming it as I pick up around the house today.
Nick was even discussed as being the next Mr Rogers in a review of his music! That is a huge compliment.
Coconut Groove even comes in a too cute, eye catching CD case, with a great caricature of Nick & his guitar swinging from the coconut trees on the front & has 14 fun filled songs for not only your little one, but for you to enjoy.
One lucky reader will get the chance to experience Coconut Groove for themselves.
